Wow, I am quite impressed! I usually struggle with AUs a bit, but this is one of the best I've read in a while! I really feel that you've captured the core of Kara and Lee's personalities and dynamic here: they are so completely them, but at the same time you've incorporated new elements that make the story fresh and new and realistic, and it's all so lovely. Kacey is the cutest thing and, I have to say, I loved the friendship between Kara and Karl as much as I loved Kara/Lee. Also, I know I've already told you that, but you write beatifully. I love that your stories are always so visceral and heartfelt.
