I love this so, so much. You have created a vibrant, real AU and let the cracks in who these people are really show. They are so completely Kara and Lee in a different life. I love the snap of connection between them and how they can't help it when it comes to each other. I liked that it wasn't just one chasing the other but both of them chasing after the other at different points. Kacey was adorable and so completely Kara's kid, and Karl added such a balm to Kara's life, I loved their relationship. And of course you know I love the sexy times. So completely hot even if they didn't actually hae sex. There was an element of desperation and devouring that made me ache for them and gla they found comfort in each other for at least a little while. :) what an amazing story. And Lee baked! ;) I wouldn't hate to see more from this 'verse..... ;)
