I love the way you create atmosphere without necessarily delving into detail. You show the reader how Kara *feels* without being particular about what happened, as in this passage:

After class, Kara’s physics professor asks her to stay behind. She thinks maybe he’s going to bitch at her about her doodling, but instead he accuses her of cheating. She hadn’t missed a single point on the midterm, something that was, according to him, ‘impossible’. She tells him to go suck a bag of dicks.

You've got a nice balance between passages like this and ones that give more external detail.

I also adore how you've shown Kara's insecurity and snarkiness tempered by her resilience and courage. I really love the way you write Kara, which maybe comes out more in this fic because it's all from her POV.

I liked how you used the political conversation between Kara and Lee, too. I couldn't help feeling like Lee was a bit of a jerk for saying that, which makes Kara storming off seem like a wholly sensible reaction. Because she has a tendency to overreact, it's rare to see her get angry and completely sympathise, but sometimes the reaction is completely warranted, and I liked that you showed that side of her.
