I agree with you that the story portrayed here is a fairly simple one. Kara and Lee are friends, then they become more than friends. The end. Not particularly unique or original! I'm definitely not one for intricate plots. But I'm so glad that the language was able to carry you through this narrative emotionally. I believe words -- how we arrange them, how we play with them, how we challenge their conventional meanings -- pack so much potential energy.
