Thank you! Kara and Lee are both very strong people, only I don't think they always realize it! It's lovely to see them build off of one another, to see them bring out the best in the other rather than the worst. We didn't get to see that all the time on the show, and I love exploring it in fic.
And so glad you liked the violin bit! In Russian, the word for violin actually does come from the verb that means, "to screech". I combined that that idea with the fact that Russian has a lot of really specific verbs. For example, they have a word that means "to recover from a hangover." :p That was my favorite details, so I'm glad you liked it.
